Smile, I’m your friend

Psalm 5.11

Have you ever just spontaneously begun to smile? Then as you consider why you realize it is because you have just heard the name of a good friend. In fact, every time you hear their name, think about them or even are around them you cannot help but smile.

I have a friend like that. We don’t get to see each other much but when we get together you would think we saw each other every day. We laugh. We joke. We pray together. We even from time to time cry together because of burdens in life.

All it takes is hearing that name; and boom – smile. What joy!

Our relationship with the Father is to be even sweeter than earthly bonds. He has shared with us His name. That is huge. Because in giving us His names we have who He is actually. In fact, if you reflect back on your relationship with Him considering all he has done for you in salvation, growth, and favor it can put a smile on your face and joy in your heart.

It is no wonder that David wrote; “…Let those also who love Your name be joyful in You.” David knew Him to be his friend. He is your friend.

Can you hear Him? Who? Jehovah!
Jehovah – Jesus is sending you a message today. Smile, I’m your friend.
